Black Walnut display and storage unit

Brief:
Intrerpet Architects drawings and build Wall of storage and display cabinetry around modern fireplace and flume and light well.
Solution:
Initial concept was adjusted to allow for actual measurements of room and fireplace, and not to obscure lightwell. Black walnut solid and veneers were selected and matched across unit, with dark grey sprayed backs. We used a simple scallop handle detail to maintain minimal look and 30mm sides and bottoms to accommodate scale of the piece.
